Sort My House offers a number of services – for the big jobs or small, as a one off or something that requires more time and attention. We recognise how time consuming these things can be and enjoy knowing our service can free up your time.
Sort My House also understands the connection people form with items so we will be decisive but gentle when working with you. We will be impartial and non judgemental. Honesty is important to us which you will see in the use of our inventory lists, and through holding a current clear police check.
If there is an item you want attending to that isn’t on the list, please ask as we're sure we will be able to assist.

Kitchen, Living Area, Bedroom, Garage
- IN THE KITCHEN - We will sort through pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, utensils, glasses, tea and coffe mugs and on sell any small and large appliances for you. Sort My House will even clean through the pantry and discard your expired/outdated food goods.
- IN THE LIVING AREAS - Ornaments, furniture, books, wall hangings.
- IN THE BEDROOMS - The linen cupboard, children's toys, bedside lamps, furniture
- IN THE GARAGE - Sports equipment, tools, non hazardous items
Dry Cleaning Trips, Polishing The Silver, Repairs & Maintenance, Packing For A House Move
- DRY CLEANING TRIPS - For items such as duvets, duvet covers and curtains. Sort My House will unhang and rehang the curtains.
- POLISHING THE SILVER - To keep those beautiful pieces shining brightly.
- REPAIRS & MAINTENANCE - If you have a clock not working, a shoe need reheeling, or a favourite piece of clothing with a broken zipper Sort My House can organise to have this repaired for you and do the running around to get it done.
- PACKING FOR A HOUSE MOVE - Sort My House will collect the boxes and required packaging, then spend time packing your goods with love and care.
Grocery Unpacking, Dog Walking, Plant Watering & More
- GROCERY UNPACKING - If you are on holiday and returning late at night then I can arrive during the day to meet a grocery delivery, check it off and put it away.
- EXTRAS - Dog walking, plant watering, everything is conceivable, just ask. If Sort My House has the skills we will do this for you, if not we can source someone who can help.
SORT MY HOUSE PRICING
Sort My House Basic Package
INCLUDES - 2 hr session at your home where Sort My House will systematically go through the targets areas to reduce and recycle. Items will go into three piles - keep, donate and sell. You will need to be onsite for some of this session.
THE DONATE PILE - Where possible Sort My House will remove these items offsite and donate them for you. If they are larger items for an extra fee we can arrange for them to be picked up. All charges will be invoiced to you.
THE SELL PILE - Sort My House will catalogue the items (so we both know what will be taken), clean the items if needed, photograph them, and list them on various sites such as TradeMe and Facebook. The profit from each sale will be split between you and Sort My House.
Additional Hours
Any additional hours where we are required to be onsite will be invoiced at $30 per hour, in a minimum of 15 minute intervals.
Repair Service
For items that are broken and need mending, Sort My House can help save you time and find the fix for you.
We will source the quote and transport the item to and from the repair person. All costs to fix the item will be on charged to you. The hourly rate for this service will be the same as the Additional Hours rate.
